Leakages from the lower pinion seal should be rectified by dismantling the entire steering gear and replacing all seals and sealing rings
with new parts.
A new type of sealing ring has been brought into current production to improve sealing. The seal has a spring-type sealing lip and is harder
and more resistant to heat than the previous type.
The new sealing ring is part of Repair Kit P/N 271568-8.
