Remove shock absorber nut

Use socket 5036 and counterhold 5037.

Lift out upper bearing, spring seat, spring and rubber pad

Note:

Vehicles with gas pressure shock absorbers are equipped with rubber bellows (incl. a steel washer) instead of a rubber pad.

Remove bearing from upper bearing

Clean bearing seat.

Installation

Place new bearing on spring seat.

Note:

Make sure that yellow side of bearing is on top.

Install seat, bushing and shock absorber center nut.

Tighten nut

Use socket 5036 and counterhold 5037. Do not tighten fully at this stage.
