Radiator: Testing and Inspection

Radiator, Cleaning/Checking Operation 

Cleaning of radiator 
Clean off insects and other dirt by flushing from the rear with water and blowing clean with compressed air.

NOTE:  Excessive pressure will damage cooling fins.

Inspection of radiator 
Run engine up to working temperature. Continue running for another few minutes.

Stop engine.

Remove top section of fan shroud from radiator. Feel radiator with hand. Presence of cold areas indicates that unit is partially blocked.

Checking/adjustment of radiator position 
Radiator must be fitted tight against front panel, otherwise air leakage may occur at sides.

Adjust position of air baffles as required.
