Remove lower pinion bearing

Use a long extension to tap out bearing from above

Remove lower pinion seal

Tap out seal from below with a screwdriver and hammer. Be careful not to scratch inside pinion housing surface.

Tap out rack seal and spacer ring from steering gear housing

Use a 26 mm outer dia. socket and extension at least 300 mm (12 in.) long. Insert socket and extension through valve housing. Be careful not to damage
inside housing surfaces.

From rack end sleeve, remove:
