NEW METHOD FOR ADJUSTING FRONT WHEEL BEARINGS
Tighten the castle nut to a torque of 57 N-m (42 ft.lbs.) while turning the disc. Slacken the nut by half a turn. Then tighten the nut by hand (1.5 N-m = 12
in.lbs.) and insert the split pin. If unable to insert the split, tighten the nut to the next hole.
NEW GREASE CAP
A new type of grease cap (P/N 1359149-0) has been brought into production with effect from the end of September 1984.
The cap can be removed from the hub with a screwdriver and can, in contrast to the earlier type, be refitted if required. The sealing function of the cap
has also been improved.
THE NEW GREASE CAP CAN EASILY BE IDENTIFIED BY ITS THREE TABS.
