Pressure Plate: Service and Repair
NOTE: It cannot be disassembled and must be replaced complete.
1. Check the pressure plate carefully for overheating damages, cracks, scoring or other damage to the friction surface.
2. Pressure plate must not warp more than 0.2 mm (0.008 in). Place a steel ruler diagonally across the friction surface of the pressure plate. Make
sure that clearance between the steel ruler and the friction surface does not exceed 0.2 mm (0.008 in) at the inner diameter. At the outer diameter
there must be no clearance at all. Check at several places.
3. Carefully check the spring. If damaged or broken, replace the complete pressure plate.
