Crankshaft Main Bearing Seal: Service and Repair
1.
Remove transmission, clutch (if applicable) and flywheel.
2.
Using a suitable screwdriver, carefully pry out old seal from between holder and crankshaft.
3.
Lubricate seal and holder groove, then pack grease between sealing lips of seal. Press in new seal using tools 1801 and 5953 or equivalents, until
seal is bottomed in crankshaft.
