Tailgate Adjustment and Replacement of Weatherstrip, 855
It is important the tailgate is correctly adjusted in order to help prevent the weatherstrip between the tailgate and roof from coming loose and creasing.
Clearance between tailgate and roof should be 6-7 mm. The tailgate must be in line with the car roof. These measurements and clearances will be
introduced into production on the 1995 model year.
If a customer complains that the weatherstrip is creased. the tailgate must be adjusted and the weatherstrip replaced.
Weatherstrip P/N 9154130-0.

Please make the following notation in the above section:
"Refer to Service Bulletin 8-84-811"
Adjustment of the Tailgate
Horizontal: Clearance between tailgate and roof should be 6-7 mm (0.23" - 0.28").
Vertical:
The tailgate must be in line with the car roof. Tighten the screws retaining the hinge in the tailgate to 25 Nm (18 ft.lbs).
