940 L4-2.3L SOHC VIN 88 B230F (1992)
REMOVAL
1. Jack up and support rear of car. Remove wheels. Place support stands under jacking points. Mark wheel positions if locating studs are not fitted.
2. Clean caliper of sand and grit. Open bleeding nipple. Collect any brake fluid which escapes.
3. Lock brake pedal in depressed position. Use pedal clamp.
4. Clean connection between brake hose and brake pipe. Disconnect brake hose from brake pipe in wheel housing. Remove brake pads.
5. Remove caliper mounting bolts and caliper.
INSTALLATION
1. Lubricate guide pins and sealing grooves for rubber gaiters in caliper retainer. Use silicone grease. Inspect gaiters and replace if in poor condition.
2. Install guide pins in caliper retainer caliper in retainer upper guide pin retaining bolt. Do not tighten bolt at this point. Use new Guide Din
retaining bolts.
3. Install caliper. Use new bolts. Tighten to 58 Nm (43 ft. lbs.). Install brake pads and lower guide pin retaining bolt. Tighten upper and lower bolts
to 34 Nm (25 ft. lbs.).
4. Reconnect brake hose to caliper and brake pipe
