Temperature Gauge: Testing and Inspection
Gauge Not Working at All
The coolant temperature gauge may become inoperative due to one or more
of the following:

Fuel injection system not receiving any signal from temperature sensor.

Open circuit forwarding temperature signal from fuel system control module.

Temperature signal wiring from fuel system control module short circuited to ground or battery potential.
-
Defective temperature gauge.
