Speedometer Head: Testing and Inspection
Speed Sensor Check
1. Turn ignition off and disconnect connector from vehicle speed sensor.
2. Connect an ohmmeter across sensor.
3. Resistance should be 640-1000 ohms.
4. If resistance is incorrect, replace vehicle speed sensor.
5. If resistance is within specifications, check sensor ground connection.
