NOTE:
The EGR controller is used on California market vehicles only.
PURPOSE
The exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) controller regulates the amount of vacuum delivered to the EGR valve.
LOCATION
Mounted on the driver side strut tower.
OPERATION
The EGR controller receives 12V current when the ignition switch is "ON." The ECU then controls the ground connection of the EGR controller,
using varying frequencies (duty cycles) to control the amount of controller passage opening. This allows controlled application of intake manifold
vacuum to the EGR valve.
