Cold Start Injector: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

1.

Turn ignition OFF.

2.

Disconnect the electrical connector at the cold start injector.

3.

With a shop towel, cover the banjo bolt at injector.

WARNING: Fuel lines are under pressure. Fuel may spray from loose connection until pressure is relieved.

4.

Loosen banjo bolt a little and catch excess fuel with towel.

5.

Remove banjo bolt and gaskets.

6.

Remove cold start injector.

INSTALLATION

1.

Install new injector with new gasket.

2.

Install fuel line with banjo bolt and new gaskets.

3.

Reconnect fuel injector connector.

4.

Start engine and check for leaks at cold start injector.
