REPLACE STEERING WHEEL
1. Remove two Torx screws from rear of steering wheel, then disconnect electrical connector and remove air bag assembly, Fig.
2. Remove center attaching screw from steering wheel.
3. Loosen screw at end of plastic strap from Park position in steering wheel.
4. Place screw in pin on contact reel. Screw will now lock contact reel in zero position. Be careful not to turn steering wheel.
5. Otherwise it will shear head off lockpin.
6. Remove steering wheel.
7. Remove upper and lower column casing attaching screws, then remove casings.
8. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:

Position steering wheel so contact reel pin is in center of hole in steering wheel.

Torque center bolt to 33 Nm (24 ft. lbs).

Torque Torx screws to 11 Nm (8 ft. lbs).

Ensure wires are not kinked or pinched.
