10. Check the operation of the reverse detent. If the yoke is correctly adjusted, the play at the gear lever knob in positions 1 and 2 will be 5-20 mm
(0.2-0.8 in). If there is no play or if it is difficult to engage 1st and 2nd gear, the yoke must be adjusted.
Raise the boot, engage 1st gear and adjust the clearance between the yoke and the detent sleeve. The correct clearance is 0.5-1.5 mm
(0.0197-0.059 in). Also check the clearance in 2nd gear position. Refit the boot.
