Headlamp Wiper Motor: Service and Repair

Headlight Wiper Motor Replacement

NOTE:  If wiper motor with suppressors are fitted, the same type of suppressors should be used on replacement.

Disconnect battery negative lead.

Remove wiper arm.

-

Separate turn signal assembly from headlight.

-

Release headlight housing from body mounting (two at the front of wing. two screws on side). next to air intake. Note that air guide on radiator
grille bracket is also attached to housing.

Unplug connector and remove housing.

-

Remove the two screws on wiper motor mounting.

-

Fold out and withdraw motor shaft

-

Fit new unit.

-

Reassemble in reverse order.
When installing headlight housing check position in relation to body, fender and hood.

NOTE:  Be careful when closing hood in case the housing juts out

Before installing wiper arm, run wiper motor until wiper parks.

-

Tighten wiper arms.
