Fuel Injector Resistor: Testing and Inspection
TESTING PROCEDURE:
NOTE: While trouble shooting, always check the wiring, fuses and connectors for good condition and routing. Also check ground locations for good
connection. Use the wiring diagrams found in CHASSIS ELECTRICAL DIAGRAMS to supplement your testing efforts.
Checking Ballast Resistor
1.
Disconnect ballast resistor connector.
2.
Connect an ohmmeter to the center terminal and check resistance at each individual resistor terminal.
Reading: 5.5 - 6.5 ohms
If reading is different, replace and retest with new ballast resistor.
3.
Disconnect test equipment and reconnect ballast resistor connector.
