Air Bag System Arming
AIR BAG SYSTEM DISARMING AND ARMING
1. Connect battery ground cable.
2. On models equipped with SIPS bag, remove transport safety device from sensor.
3. On all models, wait at least 10.0 minutes, then place ignition switch in the ON position.
4. Warning lamp should illuminate for approximately 10.0 seconds and then go off.
5. If warning lamp operates as specified, air bag system is functioning properly. If lamp does not operate as specified, refer to Testing and
Inspection for diagnosis of the air bag system.
