Parking Brake Cable: Description and Operation
DESCRIPTION
The cable is run along the inside of the propeller shaft tunnel and passes through the body at the rear seat panel. A rubber-coated clip is used to
guide the cable at the torque rod bracket. The cable is then curved to connect with the left rear wheel. The rear end of the cable sleeve is fitted with
a plate bracket which converts the compressive force in the sleeve to a tensile force in the cable. The cable force is also transmitted to the right
rear brake through a second cable located by means of two guide rails.
