Evaporator Core: Service and Repair
Evaporator Core Replacement

Removal

CAUTION:  Before commencing work, read and observe general information on repair and replacement of A/C "System Components".

NOTE:  When replacing evaporator also become familiar with evaporator cleaning.

1. Disconnect battery ground lead.
2. Drain system of refrigerant. For more information refer to "Drainage of A/C System. See: Service and Repair

3. Disconnect evaporator connections in engine compartment.

CAUTION:   Plug connections immediately, otherwise air receiver/dryer may be damaged by moisture. Air receiver must be replaced if system
has been open for more than 10 minutes.
