High Pressure Safety Valve HVAC: Service and Repair
High-Pressure Switch Replacement
This procedure describes the installation of a high-pressure switch to cut out the A/C compressor temporarily in the event of high pressure in the system.
The pressure may rise excessively when idling in very hot climates.

1. Disconnect battery ground lead.
2. Drain A/C system of refrigerant.
3. Remove splash guards under engine and radiator.
4. Disconnect A/C pipe.
Undo clips and connections.
