Preparatory work
Removing the front seat
Remove the front seat. See: Front seat See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Front Seat.
Relieve the tension in the lever.
Carefully detach the cover of the lever/knob and pull the lever/knob straight out.
If the front seat is manually operated, remove the backrest adjustment knob by pulling it straight out.
Press down the 2 catches in the bottom edge of the shock protection and press through the upholstery.
Lift the head restraint upward while the catches are pressed.
Remove:

the switch/runner on the top edge of the backrest

the side panel as described in Side panel front seat See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Side Panel Front Seat.
Lift up the handle.
Remove:

the screw of the handle
-
the handle
-
the screw of the runner.
Release the 2 catches of the runner and then angle it out.
