Brake Switch (Cruise Control): Service and Repair

Replacing stop (brake) light switch early type  

Note! There are two types of stop (brake) light switch. An early type that requires manual adjustment, and a later type that is self-adjusting. 

Preparations

Check that ignition is switched off.

-

Disconnect battery ground lead.

-

Remove soundproofing.

Removing  

-

Undo stop (brake) light switch locknut.

-

Unscrew stop (brake) light switch.

-

Disconnect connector.
