Vehicle Speed Sensor: Service and Repair

Replacing vehicle speed sensor (VSS) 

Removal 

Cars without turbocharged engines 

-

Ignition off

Remove: 

-

Preheating hose between the manifold and the air cleaner (ACL).

Cars with turbocharged engines 

-

Ignition off

Remove: 

-

Mass air flow (MAF) sensor connector

-

Hose between air cleaner (ACL) and turbocharger (TC) unit

Separate the vehicle speed sensor (VSS) connector
