Convertible Top Control Module: Service and Repair

Replacing the control module 

Removing the control module 

The control module for the convertible top is located in the cargo compartment on the right-hand side.
Ignition off.
Make a note of the anti-theft radio code.
Disconnect the battery negative lead.

Remove: 

-

the right side panel in the cargo compartment

-

the 3 nuts for the control module bracket

-

the 2 tie straps for the control module wiring

-

the 4 connectors for the control module.

Hint: It is easiest if the two green connectors are disconnected first.

-

the 2 screws securing the control module to the bracket.

Replace the control module.

Installing the control module 
Install in reverse order.
