Battery Cable: Service and Repair
B+ Cable Battery-Fusebox, Replacing
B+ cable battery-fusebox, replacing
Preparatory work
Removing the battery lead and the air cleaner (ACL) housing
Remove:
-
the battery negative lead
-
the air cleaner (ACL) assembly.
Removal
Exposing the B+ cable
Disconnect the B+ cable (1) from the battery positive lead.
Remove the protective sheath (3) on the cable between the battery and the cable duct (2).
Remove the fusebox from the bracket on the spring strut turret.
Remove:
-
the nut holding the cable duct at the spring strut turret
-
the tie straps for the wiring in the cable duct. Expose the B+ cable.
