Trunk / Liftgate Lock: Service and Repair

Replacing the lock unit on the tailgate, electric switch or motor (2/4-door) 

Removing the lock unit from the tailgate (2/4-door) 

-

Remove the lock unit.

Installing the lock unit on the tailgate (2/4-door) 

-

Install the lock unit.

Removing the lock unit switch (2/4-door) 

Remove: 

-

the lock unit.

-

the cover.

-

the cable from the slot on the reverse.

Switch upwards.

-

the connector. Pull out the wiring.

Note the position of the wiring in the switch.

-

the pins from the switch.

-

the switch with the cable.
