Remove:

Fold the backrest backward as far as possible
the upholstery according to Backrest upholstery See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Mechanical Front Seats/Backrest Upholstery.

The connector for the heater pad

the heater pad.
Use a hot-air gun to warm the adhesive. Pull off the heater pad.
Install:

the new heater pad.
Warning! The new heater pad must not, under any circumstances, be glued on top of the old one.

the upholstery according to Backrest upholstery See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Mechanical Front Seats/Backrest Upholstery.

the seat in the car.
