C70 Coupe L5-2.3L Turbo VIN 53 B5234T3 (2001)
Remove the servo reservoir and the expansion tank. Place them on top of engine.
Caution! Ensure that no power steering fluid is spilled. It is extremely flammable!
Remove the auxiliaries belt.
Remove the front camshaft belt cover.
Raise the car.
Remove:
-
the right front wheel.
-
the nuts for the cover in the right fender liner.
Turn the crankshaft clockwise until the markings on the crankshaft and camshaft pulley correspond.
Turn the crankshaft a further 1/4 of a turn clockwise, then back counter-clockwise until the markings correspond.
Remove the upper camshaft belt cover.
Removing the timing belt
Slacken off the belt tensioner.
Slacken off the belt tensioner center screw slightly.
Hold the center screw still and turn the tensioner eccentric clockwise with a 6 mm (15/64") Allen key to "10 o'clock".
Unhook the camshaft belt
