Preparations

The customer stored settings should be read off and noted before the control module is replaced. This is so that the new control module can be
programmed in the same way as the old one.
Removing the control module
Remove (on the driver's side):

the soundproofing panel. See Dashboard. See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service and
Repair/Dashboard

the carpet bracket.
