To activate the diagnostic menu:

Ensure that the radio code and a map CD are in the audio unit

Ignition off

Ignition on. Wait until the graphic image with the text "Volvo" is displayed

Press RTN, followed by ENT, then RTN. Wait approximately 5 seconds. The diagnostic menu should then be displayed.
