Brake Pedal Assy: Procedures

Brake Pedal And/or Bearing Bushings, Replacing 

Preparatory operations 

Remove 

-

the battery negative lead

-

the lower cover for the dashboard on the driver's side

-

the steering shaft covers

-

the vacuum reservoir in cars with cruise control

-

the throttle cable from the accelerator pedal (AP).

Removing the brake pedal 

Remove 

-

the nut and ring from the hinge bolt

-

the retaining spring, ring and pin from the support bar

-

the stop lamp switch connector.

Removing the mountings for the pedal cover
