Remove:

-

instrument panel according to  Removing the dashboard See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service and
Repair/Removal and Replacement/Removing The Dashboard.

power unit:

-

the power unit according to  Power unit blower fan See: Blower Motor/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Power Unit Blower Fan.

Disconnect the AC-pipe from the bracket in the engine compartment.
Loosen the bracket at the lower and upper edge on the feed unit, and pull backwards as far as possible.
Disconnect the cable harnesses connector from the connection on the fan housing.
Remove the bracket from the instrument panel (two nuts).
Disconnect the bracket at the upper and lower edge of the fan housing.
Loosen the fan housing. Carefully remove it with a twisting movement.
