Wastegate Actuator: Procedures

Checking and Adjusting the Boost Pressure Control (BPC) Valve on the Turbocharger TC)

Checking and adjusting the boost pressure control (BPC) valve on the turbocharger (TC) 

Special Tools:  999 5230, 999 5766

Manometer 
Use manometer 999 5230 to measure the pressure whilst adjusting.

Connect the test equipment 

-

Remove the turbocharger (TC) control valve from the air cleaner (ACL) housing

-

Remove the yellow marked hose (A) from the turbocharger (TC) control valve

-

Connect special tool 999 5230 and pressure regulator 999 5766 to the removed hose

-

Connect the workshop air supply to 999 5766.

Checking the adjustment of the boost pressure control (BPC) valve
