Installing The Steering Wheel
-
Before installing the steering wheel, the contact reel must be placed in its center position.
-
When checking the center position, the black dot on the yellow indicator must be directly opposite the center arrow.
-
If the center position is indicated, it must be possible to turn the inner part of the contact reel approximately 2 turns both clockwise and
counterclockwise from the indicated middle position.
-
If the center position is incorrectly indicated, it can be adjusted.
-
To adjust the center position, first turn the inner part of the contact reel counter-clockwise to its limit position, where resistance will be felt.
-
From this position, turn the inner part of the contact reel clockwise slightly more than two turns.
-
Adjust the yellow indicator by turning until the black dot is directly opposite the center arrow.
-
Route the wiring for the contact reel through the hole in the steering wheel.
NOTE: Transfer the marking from the old steering wheel to the new steering wheel before installation.
