Insert a hand through the upper compartment (1). Push up the bottom rear edge of the lower compartment to release the two catches (2)

Slide out the compartment (3).

Remove the two screws (1) holding the dashboard environment panel (2). These two screws are on the base of the radio tray.

Pry off the panel in front of the gear selector lever. Use a plastic weatherstrip tool as illustrated. Remove the panel in front of the gear selector
lever.
