Check the car VIN. This is stamped in the engine compartment on the top of the bulkhead (1a), and on the VIN plate on the top of the dashboard
(1b).

Check the digit in position 8 on the VIN and check the chassis number at position 9 on the VIN (see the illustration).

-V70 with VIN marking position 8=2 and chassis numbers up to and including 285999
-V70 XC / XC 70 with chassis numbers up to and including 95081
Note! The wiring is connected to connector D.
Insert a small screwdriver in the socket as illustrated

Twist the screwdriver so that the holders open. At the same time, press the connector out to the side

Connect the violet (VO) cable to terminal 18
-
Reinstall the connector
