Rear Door Exterior Handle: Service and Repair
Handle, outer rear, side door, replacing
Replacing the external handle
The window must be in the uppermost position.
Remove the side panel. See Panel, rear side door, replacing See: Rear Door Panel/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Panel, Rear Side Door,
Replacing.
Remove the run-off profile. See Run-off profile and bracket See: Front Door/Front Door Panel/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Run-Off
Profile And Bracket.
Note! Only the run-off profile needs to be removed.
Unhook the cable for the inner door opener (1).
Remove the guide rail for the window (1 screw at the rear edge of the door).
Unhook the connecting rod for the lock button (3).
Remove the connecting rod for the outer door handle (2).
