Handle, outer, tailgate, replacing

Removing the external handle

Remove:

-

the wiper motor. See Motor, tailgate wiper, replacing   

-

the plate and license plate holder

-

the latch from the opening handle

-

the four nuts

-

the license plate lighting. See Bulb, number plate lighting, replacing See: Lighting and Horns/License Plate Lamp/License Plate Bulb/Service and
Repair/Bulb, Number Plate Lighting, Replacing 

-

the exterior door handle.

Note! Do not scratch the paintwork.

Hint: Use the holes for the license plate lighting when releasing the opening handle.

Disconnect the wiring from the license plate lighting. See Bulb, number plate lighting, replacing See: Lighting and Horns/License Plate

Installing the external handle

Install:

-

the wiring for the license plate lighting. See Bulb, number plate lighting, replacing See: Lighting and Horns/License Plate Lamp/License Plate

the exterior handle

-

the four nuts

the locking arm on the opening handle

the plate and license plate holder
