Lock mechanism, trunk lid, replacing

Removal

Lock unit

-

Remove the upholstery on the tailgate. This is to gain access to the entire lock unit mechanism

-

Remove the three screws

-

Slacken off the nut for the cable mounting

-

Remove the cable from the mounting

-

Remove the nipple from the lock cylinder.

Note! The mechanical cable will come away easily. Hold the casing when the nipple is released.

-

Disconnect the connector.

Lock unit

Install:

1. the connector
2. nipple to the lock cylinder
3. the nut for the cable mounting
4. the three screws for the lock unit. Tighten the screws to 10 Nm,
5. the upholstery.
