Pull the sill trim panel straight up. 

Pull out the sill trim panel at the front and rear edges.

Console side panel

Move the front seat to the rearmost position.

Turn the clip a 1/4 turn.

Slide the panel backwards.

Remove the panel.

Install tape

Pull the carpet to the side and place a piece of strong tape on the backside to keep the openings tight and minimize the visibility.
