Sunroof / Moonroof Frame: Service and Repair

Mechanism / mechanical cable sun roof, replacement

Caution! When replacing the mechanism / mechanical cable, both sides must be replaced.

Preparatory work

Remove:

-

the sun roof. See Sun roof, replacing See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Sun Roof, Replacing

the motor. See Motor sun roof, replacement See: Sunroof / Moonroof Motor/Service and Repair

the glass cover. See Glass sun roof, replacement See: Sunroof / Moonroof Panel/Service and Repair

the drainage channel. See Gutter sun roof, replacement See: Sunroof / Moonroof Drain/Service and Repair.

Removing the mechanism / mechanical cable

Angle the mechanism up.
Remove the screw.
