the two half moon clips from each lateral channel.

Replace the upholstery.

Install:

In reverse order.
Position and measure the upholstery. Ensure that the upholstery is correctly positioned before securing.

Carry out  Upholstery back rest, replacing See: Upholstery Back Rest, Replacing.
Fold out and release the protective pad and turn the backrest adjustment and lumbar adjustment knobs.
Press out the clip in the reverse of the protective pad.
Replace protective pad.

Install:

In reverse order.

Preparatory work

Removing components

Remove:

-

the seat from the car. See Lifting the front seats in and out See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement

the lumbar support knob according to Lumbar support adjustment knob, replacing See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Front
Seat/Lumbar Support Adjustment Knob, Replacing

the side piece: Pull straight out

the backrest adjustment knob. See Backrest adjustment knob See: Seat Back/Service and Repair/Front Seat/Backrest Adjustment Knob.

Removal

Removing upholstery

Fold the backrest or position the backrest in the forward folded position.
Slacken off the tension in lumbar support.
Remove the five half moon clips at the bottom edge of the backrest.
