Grip the lock using heavy duty pliers.
Pull straight out in line with the cover whilst working the lock back and forth.
Pull heavily until the lock releases.

Note! The lock is secured by two plastic hooks which break when the lock releases.Check that there are no loose plastic pieces where the old
lock was positioned.
