DESCRIPTION:
On My 03-04 S60 and V70 vehicles equipped with non-turbo engines it is possible to get a MIL (Malfunction Indicator Lamp) illuminated with no DTC
(Diagnostic Trouble Code) being stored. This can be caused by the ignition switch being turned off and then cycled back on while the ECM (Engine
Control Module) is still writing data to its non-volatile memory after a shut down.
ECM 140A is the DTC for the MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor. The manifold pressure is compared to a calculated signal. Small amounts of
buildup in the air intake system can affect the pressure and calculation relationship, and possibly cause idle inconsistencies during coast down.
SW (Software) PN 30677021 will correct both of these conditions.
