Preparatory work
Note! The vehicle most be lowered when carrying out work.

Remove the airbag.
Installing the test device

Install the test devices to the connectors for the cables instead of the airbags. The test devices are used so that no diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs)
are registered when the engine is started.
On model 1999-2004, 1 or 2 951 1506 alternatively 9511506 version B are used depending on the version the connectors have.
On certain versions of model year 2005 or later, 2 951 1506 or 9511506 version B is used for the green and violet connector. Use 9511506
version B for the gray connector that is found on certain vehicles.

Install the battery negative lead.
