Preparations
Remove:

the soundproofing panel according to Soundproofing panel, replacing See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument
Panel/Service and Repair/Soundproofing Panel, Replacing

the steering wheel covers. See Replacing the steering column covers, B5244T5, B5254T2 See: Steering Column Cover/Service and Repair.
Removing the lever for steering wheel adjustment

Remove the four screws holding the steering column
-
Pull the steering column backwards out from the three guides and press to the right.
