Removing the spring

Relieve the load on the spring seat using hydraulic tool 951 2911 together with plates 951 2914.

Remove:
-

the fixing nut on the shock absorber. Use socket 999 5469 and a 3/8" Torx-wrench as a counterhold

the spring seat

-

the spring

-

the rubber bump stop and gaiter.

Check that the spring strut bearing (1), spring seat (2) and rubber bump stop with boot (3) are free of damage. Replace if necessary.
