Lubricate the edges of the new seal using automatic transmission fluid.
Install locating pin999 5769 Pilot See: Tools and Equipment/999 5769 Pilot.
Install the seal on the locating pin. Use drift 999 5770 Drift See: Tools and Equipment/999 5770 Drift.
Tap in the seal until the drift is against the transmission.
Remove the locating pin.
Install the drive shaft. See Drive shaft left, replacing, B5244T5, M66 See: Axle Shaft Assembly/Service and Repair/Drive Shaft Left, Replacing.
Check the oil level. See Oil level, checking See: Automatic Transmission/Transaxle/Service and Repair/Procedures/Transmission Oil Level - Checking.
Install the splashguard under the engine.

Removing the differential seals, right-hand side
Place a container underneath the transmission.
Install the cap nut for extractor 999 5768 Puller See: Tools and Equipment/999 5768 Puller.
Lightly grease the locating pin on the extractor.
Use a ratchet with an extension and socket. Press the extractor in against the seal at the same time as the extractor is turned.
Tighten so that the threaded cone screws firmly into the seal.
