Preparatory work

S60R (B5254T4 engine)

Replacing.

S60 (other engines)

Remove the gear selector lever knob. See Replacing the gear selector lever knob See: Gear Selector Lever Knob, Replacing.

Removing the gear selector cable from the ball joint

Remove the gear selector cable from the ball joint.
Use puller999 7071 Puller See: Tools and Equipment/999 7071 Puller.

Hint: The screw on the puller is turned counter-clockwise to pull the gear selector cable loose.
